Student Experiences & Internships

Recovery Resources strives to create an exciting, challenging and rewarding work environment that allows you to flourish. As a dynamic organization, we offer many career opportunities. We want you to build a long and successful association with Recovery Resources and be a happy and productive member of our team. Through your dedication, creativity, perseverance and efforts, our company will continue to grow.

We offer internships, capstone placements and special projects to qualified BSW, MSW and MPH students who wish to gain experience in the field of behavioral health; specifically substance use services and recovery programming. We have existing affiliations with the Colorado School of Public Health, and welcome students from other institutions as well.

We accept applications from students on a rolling basis for both virtual and in-person positions.

+ Position Description

In-person positions are most frequently a clinical role as a Behavioral Health Navigator (see BHN position description) who works directly with clients in our detox facilities. We reserve two BHN internship positions for incoming students each semester; one at our Aspen facility and one at our Frisco facility. Students applying for these positions should be able/willing to commit 22 hours per week for their internship (2 detox shifts).

Virtual experiences are provided per request of individual students who come to us with a specific area or project of interest. Occasionally, we will also post special projects that are available for students to take on as part of their capstone or practicum requirements. Virtual experiences are best for students who are interested in systems-level work and in helping our organization reach goals in the areas of outreach, program efficacy, innovative care management, capacity, etc…
