Anti-Bullying Program
OVERVIEW
Boosting confidence and self-esteem in both children who bully and those at risk of being bullied is essential to reducing bullying in our schools, youth programs and homes.
Children who are vulnerable to bullying frequently exhibit difficulties with self confidence and communication. Participating in skill-building activities alongside peers can facilitate social integration and enhance their ability to articulate personal needs and preferences.
Many children involved in patterns of bullying have been overlooked. By supporting them in developing confidence and self-worth through safe, respectful, and affirming experiences, we help them understand that they can feel valued and connected without needing to exert power over others—reducing the underlying pain that often drives bullying behavior.
We are excited to offer Anti-Bullying Equine Assisted Learning Programs for local Roaring Fork Valley schools and community groups at our arena in Silt, CO.

WHY HORSES
By their intuitive nature and innate sensitivity, horses respond to what the participants are feeling, and participants need to adjust their feelings and behaviors to work successfully with the horses and one another.
A horse’s feedback is honest and instant, giving the participant immediate feedback.
Horses help instill empathy and kindness in participants, while modeling assertiveness.
Hands-on learning has been shown to be more effective than classroom knowledge for reducing instances of bullying and increasing participant self-esteem.
